Statement Necklaces
My cousin, Doyin, came over to my boutique yesterday, and as soon as she walked in I was immediately drawn to her chunky necklace [yahh! I’m a necklace whore, lol! Must be the Nigerian in me. The kinda necklaces our moms wear to parties….*whew*]. It gave her otherwise plain outfit an instant lift. Upon asking where she got it, she revealed that it was actually two different necklaces she twisted around each other. I thought that was pretty clever of her [or does everyone already know this trick? Lol].
And here are the chunky necklaces on my wishlist [it’s my birthday in 3 days :D]. Sometimes I’m a really lazy dresser, but I still like to look good. So what i do is wear something really plain and liven it up with a statement necklace.
